

MARINA
Welcome to the Strand Lakeside Marina where we have moorage for a total of 51 vessels including 12 power lifts. The Strand Lakeside Marina is for the private use of residents of the Strand Lakeside. Use of the Strand Marina is subject to the new Strand Bylaw 3(29)(A), the Strand Marina Exclusive Use Agreement (EUA) and the Strand Marina Bylaws. The following vessel information and insurance forms are required and must be completed and submitted on this site prior to moorage. Failure to do so will result in fines and towing of vessel from marina at the cost of the Exclusive Use Owner.

PWC Moorage Port Request
Strata Council is in the process of requesting a permit for 10 new seasonal PWC moorage ports to add onto our marina. If accepted by the province, slips will be sold to owners on a first come first serve bases on this request list. Limit one per strata lot.

MARINA INFO
The Strand Lakeside Marina is for the exclusive use of Owners of Strata Lots only. All users must comply with the following conditions:
-
the terms of the License of Occupation or any law relating to boating or moorage;
-
the terms and conditions of the Exclusive Use Agreement and any Boat Slip Assumption Agreement;
-
each boat owner is responsible for the safe mooring of their boat. Moorage lines shall be a minimum 3/8” braided nylon with shock absorbing bow and stern lines;
-
boats must be operated at “dead slow” or minimum underway speed while in the confines of the marina;
-
boat operators must be licensed as required for the boat;
-
boat slips are only for the purpose of docking a single boat or watercraft. Boat size shall not impede access to other boat slips. Main beam width of any boat is 108 inches.
-
portions of dock adjacent to the boat slip may only be used as access to/from boat slip;
-
swimming, water skiing, wake-boarding or towing of tubes or similar devices from the dock is prohibited;
-
boat fueling, maintenance or repair activities are prohibited within the marina;
-
overboard discharge of trash, human and animal waste, fuel, lubricants is prohibited;
-
every boat in marina must have 3rd party liability insurance of at least $2 million
-
All vessels are recommended to be removed from the marina by mid October
Boat slip assignees must provide strata council with a description incl. photograph of each boat moored in a boat slip along with boat owner’s contact info, boat license number and proof of insurance.
The strata council has the right to remove a boat from the marina and take it to storage, at the owner’s expense, if the boat is: improperly secured or breaks loose from moorage; leaking oil, fuel or appears to be causing environmental damage; obstructing access; over sized; moored outside of boat slip the owner has right to use, or; not properly licensed and registered with strata council.
